KCAL 9 "9 On The Town" -Best Martini in LA- Quick Time Video

-Fox Sports guy mentions the Kitty- Quick Time Video

"Best cocktail lounge ever." ---Underground Guide to L.A.

"This is a bar for the seasoned bar dweller who likes a stiff drink with a twist, an unpretentious yet hip hang for the lounge rat who won't go any place less than cool. Liquid Kitty is a total lounge scene with it's cocktails as the main attraction."
---Los Angeles Times

"...Liquid Kitty, with the coolest neon sign we've spotted lately: a beckoning martini glass and cigarette flashing high over Pico Boulevard, is a swanky groove spot to hoist cocktails."
---L.A. Weekly

"This cushy little lounge in West L.A. is home to the very sophisticated eponymous martini, in which the vodka (yes, vodka) and vermouth are expertly mixed, the olive is ripe, and it's all served up in a huge frosted martini glass. If martinis aren't your thing, however, there's still hope: They also mix a mean cosmopolitan that's bright pink but not too sweet."
---Buzz Magazine

"One of the Westside's few worthy cocktail lounges, Liquid Kitty is a cool drink of water for locals tired of schlepping to Hollywood to get a goddamn drink. Clubby and dark, Liquid Kitty's best early on, when you can hear yourself over the sound system and get a seat before everyone else west of La Cienega with a taste for the lounge life beats you to it. Better yet, snag one of the cozy back booths."---Rommelmann's Los Angeles Bar & NIghtlife Guide

"CAT-A-TONIC With a name like Liquid Kitty, even trendy Eastsiders find it impossible to resist this Westside bar. Unfortunately, the name's not on the front door, so look for the flashing martini-and-cigarette sign. Then step into the lounge for a cosmopolitan that'll make you purr."
---Buzz Magazine

"...we made our escape to Liquid Kitty where DJ Now Sound was keeping the cocktail sippin' crowd entranced. Not only is the tiny club home to Combo-Au-Go-Go's Sunday night spy-jazz soirees, but it also serves as home to such drinks as the Kitty Colada, Bitches Brew, and – one we're still not quite sure about – the Golden Shower. Thus, Liquid Kitty stands as one of the few remaining Westside joints that merits inclusion in any catalog of cool." ---LA New Times

"Sweet and swanky hipster hang for the Westside" ---LA Times

Yelp Reviews:
"Incredible spot on the Westside.  Incredibly low douche factor!! Get the low life-- shot of well and a PBR for $4. More refined tastes? Order one of their martinis.  The bartender is awesome. The place is dark and divey. Usually has some B-type movie playing. Music is often punk/rock/new wave.  I LOVE IT!!!"

"This is what a dive bar should be:  dark, tiny, musty, and with music you don't really hear in other places."

"My favorite bar in Los Angeles. Always the more eclectic mix of music with a nod to the past (60s soul, 80s hip hop, 70s punk), the martinis are monsters and I cannot (read: should not) have more than one. At $10 a pop, their size make them the best value in the city. The crowd is not obnoxious although the last few times I've been there there were a few random creeps off the street. Mondays is Kittyoke, which is always hilarious. A dance party usually breaks out. The bartenders are awesome. The place is like a spot of heaven away from the pretentiousness of the rest of the city.

What more could you need?"

"Came here with some friends to celebrate finally finding a house to move into (we hadn't actually gotten the house yet, but we felt like celebrating anyway).  I walked in around 8 and the place was nearly empty.  Old kung fu movies played on the screen.  I ordered a PBR and got to work on it.  Several minutes later my friends showed up and between outrageously cheasy drop kicks and poorly translated Chinese we drank multiple low lifes (a well shot and a PBR for $3!) and discussed our plans."

"This bar seems like the type of place where schemes are hatched and in twenty years people will come to it because someone famous used to drink here.

We didn't stay long but I had a great time."

"This has been a big week for me and the Kitty.  On Wednesday, I won myself some free alcohol for my awesome funk playlist on iPod night, and I met a fetishist...which is I think less restrictive way of saying a dominatrix.

The next day, I was ambushed with a surprise birthday party...the best way to describe the evening was like taking a swim in a sea of absinthe.  Drinks were appearing faster than I could finish the ones in my hand.  Weren't there?  don't fret...I didn't do the Carlton Dance yet.  You didn't miss it..."

"No TVs. No pool table. No distractions.

Not much lighting but plenty of character. This is how a bar is supposed to be.

The bartender during the Wednesday happy hour was a true professional. Pro pours. Pro service. It's simple. Added an extra glass of water with some lime to take down our drinks that much smoother. Professional.

Talked with a girl from out of town with her compatriots while kicking it with my LA escort.

Talked with the valet guy, Nelson, who brought it to the table and is working hard to get ahead. Buen suerte mi amgo.

If you had this type of bar in SF, you'd make hand-over-fist.

It's that simple - that's how it should be done!"
